How Notevyx works

From first word to signed note — in under 90 seconds.

Notevyx uses clinical NLP to capture, structure, and deliver the complete documentation package from your patient encounter. Here's exactly how.

Step by step

The Notevyx workflow in detail.

1

Activate Notevyx before the encounter

Open the Notevyx app on your mobile device, tablet, or use the EHR-integrated widget. One tap to activate. No patient-facing screen is used.

2

Conduct your normal clinical encounter

Notevyx listens as you speak with your patient — history, review of systems, physical exam findings, clinical reasoning. No structured prompts. No interruptions. Natural conversation.

3

AI structures the clinical content

After the encounter, Notevyx's clinical NLP processes the conversation. It identifies subjective complaints, objective findings, assessment elements, and plan steps — and structures them into SOAP format with appropriate ICD-10 codes.

4

Note appears in your EHR — ready to review

The complete note — SOAP structure, ICD-10 codes, med-rec updates, and referral letter if applicable — is pushed directly into your EHR. Review and sign in 60–90 seconds.

5

Audio deleted — PHI cleared

Immediately after note generation, the raw audio recording is permanently deleted. Notevyx retains no PHI after note delivery. Notes live exclusively in your EHR.

Accuracy & review

Designed for physician review — not physician trust.

We don't ask you to trust AI blindly. We ask you to review a draft in 90 seconds. You are always the author. Notevyx is your first draft.

Common questions

What physicians ask before piloting.

Yes. We recommend obtaining verbal or written patient consent before activating ambient listening — consistent with standard recording consent practices in clinical settings. Notevyx provides a simple consent statement you can read aloud or display to patients. BAA and consent documentation are included with all accounts.

You review and sign the note. You are the author — Notevyx generates a draft, not a final record. Errors in the draft are caught during your 60–90 second review. Pilot physicians report that ~90% of notes are accepted with minor edits (one or two lines). For the remaining 10%, edits are faster than writing from scratch.

Notevyx uses noise-suppression audio processing optimized for clinical environments — exam tables, equipment hum, hallway noise, and multi-person conversations are filtered. Signal quality improves with the phone or device closer to the conversation. Works on standard mobile devices without specialized hardware.

Notevyx integrates via SMART on FHIR for Epic, Athenahealth, and Cerner, and via direct API for eClinicalWorks. Setup takes 1–3 days with your IT or EHR administrator. Notes arrive in your existing note workflow — same location you normally sign notes — formatted to your current note style. No new login system for your physicians.

Yes. Notevyx ships with specialty-tuned templates for Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Urgent Care, and Behavioral Health. Templates can be further customized per practice or per physician to match your existing note style and preferred sections. Custom template setup is included in onboarding for Group and Health System tiers.
